Choose appropriately sized containers with drainage holes to accommodate the root systems of your SUFLORYES seeds. Fill the container with quality potting mix, leaving about ½ inch clear at the top. Use standard commercial potting soil for most vegetables and flowers. For herbs native to the Mediterranean, such as thyme and oregano, we recommend blending in some cactus potting mix, as they prefer drier soils.

Choose a container that allows for water to drain. If you overwater or if it rains too much, a good pot will allow the excess water to flow to the bottom without soaking and rotting the roots of your plants. You can use rocks or pottery shards to fill the bottom of the container to help with drainage. This applies outdoors too. If your plants constantly have wet feet, they won't thrive. Either plan ahead when planting your SUFLORYES seeds and add some sand to the soil for better drainage, or pick plant varieties that don't mind wet roots as much.

Seeds do not have a strict expiration date; rather, they have a "sell-by" date. The dates on seed packages are guidelines to help you know when your seeds are getting older, but it does not mean you need to toss them immediately. Every plant variety is different, and some seeds last longer than others. Most SUFLORYES seeds, if kept in a cool, dry place, will remain viable for 2–3 years. If you are ever unsure about their germination, you can test a few out first by growing microgreens or starting them in a small pot.
